You'll notice that that, oddly, it has the same street address as the <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=7900\">recently closed Waffle House<\/a>, but this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityfeet.com\/cont\/forsale\/ln17840393\/4505-broad-river-road-columbia-sc-29210\">this real estate listing<\/a> explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This parcel surrounds the corner occupied by Waffle House.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbcarolinascolumbia.com\/property\/property.asp?PRM_MLSNumber=331498&PRM_MlsName=ColumbiaSC\">this listing<\/a> says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Plans were in the works for a 15,000 sq ft retail space.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>with the past tense leading me to believe those plans are no longer in the works.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.city-data.com\/richland-county\/B\/Broad-River-Road-38.html\">This tax information<\/a> says the house on the lot was built in 1884.  I would have called it old, but not *<i>that<\/i>* old.  The place almost has a funeral home look to it.
