The building as a whole (2901 Devine Street) has had quite a few turnovers in recent years, including the aforementioned ice cream shop, <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=298\">Birds On A Wire<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=2474\">Simply Savory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Judging by their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardcoretenniscolumbia.com\/\">web site (which has lots of good pictures)<\/a>, <i>Hardcore<\/i> was the Columbia branch of a still existing Atlanta operation.  <a href=\"http:\/\/hardcoretennis.blogspot.com\/2011\/12\/hardcore-tennis-changes.html\">This 20 December 2011 blog post<\/a> mentions the closing of the Columbia store, but says local stringing will still be available into April.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I still think if you want <i>fun<\/i> game with racquets and a net, badminton is the way to go.<\/p>\n<p>(Hat tip to commenter south mauldin)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hardcore Tennis was a tennis stringing and apparel store in the old Ben &#038; Jerry's location on Devine Street.
