Commenter William<\/i> mentioned some months ago that this place was going under the wrecking ball to become yet-another shopping center in the Harbision area.<\/p>\n

The developer's site<\/a> has quite a thorough pitch for the place, which they're calling Columbiana On Park<\/i>. Their PDFs include all sorts of demographic breakdowns of the area and traffic analysis. Certainly they will put the best face forward for prospective tenants, but I have to wonder if they have considered two things:<\/p>\n

1) The economy still stinks and many existing sites (even upscale ones like Sandhill) are having a hard time keeping tenants and attracting shoppers<\/p>\n

and<\/p>\n

2) Harbison is already a nightmare. Will adding yet more retail have a Yogi Berra effect? Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded<\/i>.<\/p>\n
