{"id":3015,"date":"2010-12-29T00:13:37","date_gmt":"2010-12-29T05:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=3015"},"modified":"2010-12-29T00:14:00","modified_gmt":"2010-12-29T05:14:00","slug":"happy-blogday-to-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=3015","title":{"rendered":"Happy Blogday To Me!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/10\/12\/011_9.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/10\/12\/011_9_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nope, still on vacation with no new closings, but I thought I would note that three years ago today, 29 December 2007, I made <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=1\">the first posting on Columbia Closings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It was a \"Mission Statement\" that codified the somewhat nebulous ideas I had for what I wanted to do here.<\/p>\n<p>The first actual \"closing\" I posted was for <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=3\">Al-Amir on Devine Street<\/a>, a space that as fate would have it is again <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=2718\">vacant<\/a> as I write this.<\/p>\n<p>Before those first postings, there were several months of a vague feeling that I wanted to be doing <i>something<\/i> on the internet, culminating in a bit of an inspiration flash, when the domain-name came to me.  When it proved to be available, there was figuring out hosting with GoDaddy, installing WordPress, figuring out how <i>that<\/i> worked, working out the html for doing pictures the way I wanted to and finally figuring out something to say.<\/p>\n<p>Today, according to WordPress statistics, I've made 904 posts, and I plan to keep on for the foreseeable future.
