There have been a number of fairly high-profile stores in there over the years including <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=104\">Winn-Dixie<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=349\">Lionel Playworld<\/a>, but none recently and the main building, which now houses a plasma center and a comedy club, is pretty beat up and decrepit on the Trenholm end.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the current owners have given up on bringing the place back up as I noticed a <i>For Sale<\/i> sign on the property last month.  Of course that doesn't mean much as I think <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=midlands-shopping-center\">Midlands Shopping Center<\/a> has been on the block for years with no takers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/34.065074475211844,-80.95468976433604\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img src=http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/pix\/misc\/world_map_icon.png><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If this plaza has a name, it is not apparent.
