Looking at their web site, it appears they are a home decor store, something which comes onto my radar with vanishing rarity.<\/p>\n<p>This particular store was in the new strip creating by redeveloping the old <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=5906\n\">Kmart<\/a> complex.  They seem to have closed without fanfare -- I can't find any stories about it online, and google seems to think it is still there.<\/p>\n<p>According to their store locator, there are still two locations in the Midlands, one in <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=harbison\">Harbison<\/a>, and one on <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=two-notch-road\">Two Notch Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>(Hat tip to commenter Joe Shlabotnik)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/4400+Fort+Jackson+Blvd,+Columbia,+SC+29209\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/pix\/misc\/world_map_icon.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Frankly, I had no idea at all what kind of place Kirkland's is.
