It also offered convenient back access to the <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=broad-river-road\">Broad River Road<\/a> facing businesses.<\/p>\n<p>I noticed recently first that all the <i>Broad River Road<\/i> businesses' parking lot through-access to <i>Diamond Lane<\/i> had been cut off by gating.  More recently I noticed that access to <i>Diamond Lane<\/i> itself is blocked from <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=dutch-square-boulevard\">Dutch Square Boulevard<\/a>.  I understand that <i>Word of God Church & Ministries<\/i> has bought up the old <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=intersection-center\">Intersection Center<\/a> complex, but I'm a bit puzzled, as I thought <i>Diamond Lane<\/i> was a public road.<\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE 17 February 2023<\/b> -- While <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=diamond-lane\">Diamond Lane<\/a> has been re-opened to <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=dutch-square-boulevard\">Dutch Square Boulevard<\/a>, the end which went around behind <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?tag=intersection-center\">Intersection Center<\/a> to connect with <i>Statler Road<\/i> has now been closed and it is now a dead-end street:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860564.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860564_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1860564_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1860564_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860584.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860584_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1860584_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1860584_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860585.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/23\/02\/p1860585_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1860585_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1860585_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is new construction and a new business of some sort down there which I'm sure is the reason.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/119+Diamond+Ln,+Columbia,+SC+29210\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/pix\/misc\/world_map_icon.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diamond Lane used to be a moderately popular shopping destination, leading to Sam Solomons, as well as having a number of strip mall businesses facing the road.
