Rivkin recalling a bit of downtown history, his father's store <i>Marks<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The first picture is from the grand opening at 1321 Main Street in October 1963:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_01.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_01_tn.jpg\" title=\"marks_01_tn.jpg\" alt=\"marks_01_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As nearly as I can tell, 1321 Main Street would have been just after the vacant storefront next to <i>Cantina 76<\/i>, which is 1307 Main, and before the <i>SC Education Lottery<\/i> storefront, which is 1333.  However there's really no way to do a true comparison due to the demolition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/p1530593.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/p1530593_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1530593_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1530593_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The store moved from 1321 Main to 1625 Main in 1980:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_02_tn.jpg\" title=\"marks_02_tn.jpg\" alt=\"marks_02_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is apparently an ongoing project to repurpose 1619-1625 Main, which you can read about <a \nhref=\"http:\/\/lambertarchcs.com\/portfolio\/1619-1625-main-street\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, the store moved to 1219 Bull Street, the former location of <a href=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/wordpress\/?p=9080\">Ritter's Furs<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_03.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/18\/08\/marks_03_tn.jpg\" title=\"marks_03_tn.jpg\" alt=\"marks_03_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Big hat tip to ALlen J.
