Russell & Jeffcoat / Coldwell Banker, 459 Saint Andrews Road: 2021 no comments
Buildings of this distinctive pattern were built as Russell & Jeffcoat locations, with Coldwell Banker acquiring the properties when they bought the firm in 2016 after the passing of founder Bob Russell. Since then, there have been a number of closings and consolidations of the offices, and this Saint Andrews Road building is currently vacant.

Railroad Crossing / Train Tracks, Old Bush River Road / Saint Andrews Road: 2021 2 comments
Driving Old Bush River Road between Saint Andrews Road and North Lake Drive, I noticed that the train tracks which used to cross the road between Kiawah & Bilton are now gone. My surmise is that this has something to do with the changeover in Lake Murray operations from SCE&G to Dominion since the old tracks seem to go to a big facility, but that's a total guess.
UPDATE 14 June 2022 -- As mentioned by commenter Homer, here is the other end of this rail spur, also now taken up, which used to cross Saint Andrews Road near C&J Automotive:
Also adding "Railroad Crossing" to the post title as that seems more descriptive than "Train Tracks". Adding "Saint Andrews Road" as well.
C & J Automotive, 6336 Saint Andrews Road: 2022 no comments
C & J Automotive is nestled on a narrow strip of land in between the train tracks and Saint Andrews Road in the Seven Oaks section of Irmo. It is not too far past Sno Biz.
It appears to me that the lot remains in business while they are looking for a buyer, so I am just putting an indifinite "2022" as the closing date.

Red Beans and Rice Jazz Cafe / Sugar Daddy's Jazz Cafe, 300 Saint Andrews Road Suite 10: 16 January 2023 2 comments
I admit to being a little confused about the status of this place. I have never seen any cars there, and the Facebook page shows no recent activity. Furthermore, I recently drove by there at 10pm on a Saturday night and everything was dark. But there is no indication on the door that they are out of business, the street sign seems fairly new, and there are recent google reviews.
Can anyone confirm whether they are open or closed?
UPDATE 27 January 2023 -- Initially this post was a request for information as I could never tell if the place were open. (One commenter supplied the tidbit that they did not open before midnight). Now it is a closing, as the shopping center has suffered a fire, centered on this club.
Cecilia's Mexican Restaurant, 6169 Saint Andrews Road: 25 November 2020 2 comments
I never got around to eating at this little Mexican place in Seven Oaks Shopping Center as it was really just too far away to be on my radar. Looking at their Facebook, there is a nice little closing note which cites the challenging times and leaves some hope for a phase two sometime in the future.
UPDATE 27 June 2022: Setting up to be By The Fire Pizza:
Pivotal Fitness / Fit413 Health Club, 4350 Saint Andrews Road: 2020 4 comments
Pivotal Fitness was the follow-on in this Seven Oaks location to Piggly Wiggly. I'm not sure when it closed, but it was Fit413 by 10 November of 2018 (although the sign was till temporary). Fit413 either recently closed, or re-affiliated, and is now Empire Barbell.
Top China Buffet, 1215 Saint Andrews Road Suite 3: Summer 2020 3 comments
I don't know much about this place, and the pictures were all kind of against the sun and not so great, but Top China Buffet at the top of Saint Andrews Road is closed.
As near as I can tell from the google reviews, this happened sometime in the August 2020 timeframe, so past the start of the pandemic, though that certainly cannot have helped things, especially with a buffet.
As I took these pictures, there were indications that some sort of upfit was ongoing, but I didn't see any indication of what it is to be.

UPDATE 28 February 2022 -- Now Truth:
Deno's Fine Foods, 6161 Saint Andrews Road: 2020 23 comments
I have been holding off doing a post on Deno's because it wasn't clear exactly what their status is; however, at this point they are clearly closed for a long-term, if not forever, despite the fact that there is no real-estate sign, and all of the furnishings and equipment are still in the building.
Somehow I had it in my head that Deno's was a seafood restaurant, and so never went. Looking online now, I think I clearly would have liked the place. The last review I see on their Facebook page (which has not updated since 2014) is from February of 2020, so I think clearly COVID-19 was an issue here, and the roadside sign does mention that they were open for takeout for some time into the pandemic.

UPDATE 15 November 2023: Update tags.
Bi-Lo, 6021 Saint Andrews Road: March 2021 2 comments
This closing was announced so long ago that I have several months-old daylight sets of pictures -- which will turn up eventually. I know I have stopped at this store a number of times over the years, and it was fine, though I did not particularly like coming back out onto Saint Andrews Road going left as I think there is no left arrow at Piney Grove.
In the final event, this is another Bi-Lo destined to be come a Food Lion. This State article, which I have probably linked before, has the details.
I do note that their street sign leaves their product line rather open-ended: "Food &".
(Lots of chatter about this, but I think commenter Andrew gets the hat tip for the closing signs going up).
UPDATE 20 May 2021 -- The Food Lion is up and running now:
St. Francis Catholic Shop, 649 Saint Andrews Road: 19 September 2020 no comments
If you look in the left corner of the second picture (which was taken for Tripps Fine Cleaners), you can barely see St. Francis Catholic Shop still in operation. As commenter Tom mentions, their website shows them as having closed on 19 September 2020 (with a nice little message of hope and faith).
Looking at the sign for St. Andrews Square, I can't help but notice they don't update it very often. The St. Andrews Newsstand has been gone for many years, Tripp's has been gone nearly a year, and now Catholic Shop. I haven't done an inventory on the rest of the marquees, but it wouldn't surprise me if more are out of date.
