I was an Assistant Manager of this building when it was under Phoenix Theatres... I worked at Pastime and Columbiana Grand on the floor, and this building was the first that I had the opportunity to manage (later down the road I was Senior Manager for AMC in the Boston area). I can tell you this theatre had a wonderful history - very rich - you could really feel the years of patronage in this building.

Unfortunately, due to Sandhills up the street and not having the latest technology, our sales declined, and the company pulled out... And as they were pulling out, we were left with less and less money and the operation suffered. I tried to reopen it myself with a colleague, but it never came to be... I applaud all efforts to reopen this theatre and hope it can become great once again.
