Bob Mundy, the developer, and his friend, Charles Mickel, who bought the entity of Roper Pond LLC that officially owns the property, would never have allowed this apartment complex to be builit in their back yards. It is all about the money and people are suffering because of their greed.

Nothing has changed with the wall but you can see that they have cut out the trees an area to the left of the pond.

And speaking of "Fermentable", the grape vines on the fence betwee Arcadia Lakes Town Hall and the pond are full of ripe grapes now.

Went by there moments ago 9/8/2010 there is a big chipboard fence and you can hear the earthmover tearing up the land beyond sight.

Progress is disappointing.

According to the State article, the pond can be restored as a lily pond even after it is dredged. I do believe that the argument is over building apartments in the area. If they are high end ones and not high density then they should not be a problem. Otherwise, Arcadia Lakes' demographics will be shot and we be like the Ravenwood area.
